Queen, a 20 year old Draft mare, has had a very busy and challenging year. The year began with a corneal ulcer which took 3 long months to heal, with thanks to many helping hands and a lot of patience. Queen also recently had surgery to remove both of her cystic ovaries. This surgery was able to happen with the kindness and generosity of many community members that support the wonderful work that Queen does. Queen is a school, show and vaulting horse that provides many much deserving children and adolescents with wonderful equine experiences. Queen’s dedicated owner also manages Queen’s arthritis and allergies, and through the owner’s consistent care, these have been successfully controlled. Now that Queen has overcome these medical challenges over the past year, we are all very proud that her and her rider, Tyler, won a silver and 2 bronze metals at the BC Summer Games, competing in the discipline of Para-Dressage. https://www.bcgames.org/ Way to go Team Queen!
