Leo was exhibiting inconsistent lameness that originally appeared like a front leg problem. Some days he moved well, other days he seemed short-strided. Diagnostics were able to isolate the problem to a hind leg proximal suspensory ligament injury. These types of injuries do not often heal on their own with rest alone. They often require additional therapies including multiple Shockwave treatments, PRP injections, and/or surgery. Leo is currently receiving treatment and we hope to see improvement from him in the next few months.
